7月は 七夕 7月７日は、七夕です。
織姫と彦星が、天の川で会う日です。

七夕は、伝説です。
「織女星」の織姫と、「牽牛星」の彦星が、一年に一度、天の川で会うのです。 晴れた夜の時だけ、会うことができます。

子どもたちは、たんざくに願い事を書いて、笹竹につるします。 折り紙で飾りも作って、つるします。

７がつ７かは、たなばたです。
おりひめと ひこぼしが、あまのがわで あう ひです。

たなばたは、でんせつです。
「しょくじょせい」の おりひめと、「けんぎゅうせい」の ひこぼしが、いちねんに いちど、あまのがわで あうのです。
はれた よるの ときだけ、あう ことが できます。

こどもたちは、たんざくに ねがいごとを かいて、ささだけに つるします。 おりがみで かざりも つくって、つるします。

July７is Tanabata.
Princess Orihime and shepherd Hikoboshi see each other at the Ama-no-gawa (or Milky Way).

Tanabata is an old folklore.
Legend has it that once a year on this night, Orihime (the Vega star) and Hikoboshi (the Altair star) are allowed to see each other at the Ama-no-gawa.
It must be a clear evening or their rendezvous shall not take place.

Children write wishes on little tags and hang them on bamboo branches praying that their dreams will come true.
Ornaments made of ori-gami paper are also hung.
