July７is Tanabata.
Princess Orihime and shepherd Hikoboshi see each other at the Ama-no-gawa (or Milky Way).

Tanabata is an old folklore.
Legend has it that once a year on this night, Orihime (the Vega star) and Hikoboshi (the Altair star) are allowed to see each other at the Ama-no-gawa.
It must be a clear evening or their rendezvous shall not take place.

Children write wishes on little tags and hang them on bamboo branches praying that their dreams will come true.
Ornaments made of ori-gami paper are also hung.
