In June, Japan has abundant rainfall.
The rain around this period is referred as tsuyu.

Tsuyu literally means"plum rain".
The plum trees bear fruit during this month, so the rainy season became to be known as tsuyu.
Some people call it tsuyu, while others may refer to it as baiu.
Tsuyu season starts in Okinawa, then northwards from Kyushu to Tohoku.
Hokkaido does not have the tsuyu season.

It rains almost everyday, but for the Japanese, this rain is a blessing.
The rainwater is essential for everyday life, and especially for farming.
