Students and instructors had an enjoyable afternoon at the annual AJALT Gathering on November 19, 2011. The event featured a workshop on Kyogen, the traditional theatre art, taught by the artists Norishige Yamamoto and Norihide Yamamoto, who are brothers. They performed Neongyoku, a Kyogen repertoire, and taught guests on some of the classical moves. The guests also enjoyed trying their hands at the tea ceremony, calligraphy, the games of igo and shogi, and origami.
