Intermediate courses

  Intermediate Conversation 1
Target The student should have completed the beginner's level Japanese with approximately 300 hours of studies and be ready to work on the basic grammar.
Goals
Be able to have day-to-day conversations and exchange information at length
Systematically learn and master the basic grammar
Expand vocabulary and learn the expressions used in everyday Japanese
Contents The course is taught using the original study materials developed by AJALT and will focus on one of the following topics:
Topic 1: Describing events in a chronological order (e.g., personal background,family history, or job history)
Topic 2: Describing an item in detail (e.g., an object, place, work of architecture, etc.)
Topic 3: Describing a procedure or rules in detail (i.e., a card game, sport, etc.)

  Intermediate Conversation 2
Target The student should have completed the Intermediate Conversation 1 and have a thorough command of the basic grammar.
Goals
Gain the conversational skills required for dealing with intricate social situations
Be able to discuss social issues and global events at length and exchange information
Learn the vocabulary and expressions found in news and editorial pieces and use them for expressing one's opinions
Contents The course is taught using the original study materials developed by AJALT and will focus on two of the following topics:
Food, The environment, Wellness, Consumer affairs, etc.

The study materials include sample conversations, personal stories, news clippings, and essays.
Course 30 hours
Tuition \63,000
◎Registration fee (\10,500) will be charged for new AJALT students.
◎All prices include 5% consumption tax.
